Context

As part of an Airbus Defence & Space project launch, I had the opportunity to participate in a Design Sprint, the famous method proposed by Google Ventures. Afterward, I supported project team throughout the build of their first MVP functionalities.

Issue

Using Airbus satellite imagery, how might we give users access to a detailed weather analysis report via a web interface? How might we present them relevant and synthesized data for their use?

My job

At first, I took part in the design sprint by exploring ideas with sketches and building basic interactive prototypes of features. We then worked together to develop the project in order to test its functionalities with early adopters.

The approach

We first identified typical user profiles through personas. We then built a User Journey Map of these users, subject to validation by the experts.

After the Ideation Sketching session and the definition of main User Stories, I took 6to1 sketches selected by the team to build an interactive prototype using Figma.

Building the MVP

Following the sprint design, I had the opportunity to support team members in the MVP conception. Alongside product owner and developers, we have implemented a UX approach in the development of features.

We have used the results of the sprint to conduct our design phase. Although we were focused on the main feature of the service, we still had to ensure a coherent user journey. So, we had to review the site flow and create wireframes for main screens.

Once the user journey validated and responding to user stories, I jumped into the prototyping phase using Sketch and InVision. Site flow, wireframes, mock-ups, interactive prototypes and finally specifications for developers in order to present and test the MVP with early adopters.
